Store Credit Only: We offer 25% of our estimated retail shelf price in store credit.

No Upfront Cash: To keep our community hub sustainable, we do not buy books for cash on the spot.

Value Tiers

Standard Paperbacks (Popular fiction, older titles): €1.00 – €1.50 credit.

Premium Paperbacks / Hardbacks (Recent releases, bestsellers): €1.75 – €2.50 credit.

What We Blissfully Accept

We love books that are ready to be passed on to the next reader in clean, readable condition:

Fiction: Contemporary fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, thrillers, and timeless classics.

Non-Fiction: Popular science, memoirs, self-help, and history.

Children & YA: Well-loved but sturdy children's and young adult books (highly requested!).

What We Kindly Decline

To keep our shelves curated and prevent overcrowding, we cannot accept:

Outdated textbooks, encyclopedias, or academic course readers.

Reader's Digest condensed editions or severe ex-library stock.

Books with heavy water damage, mold, missing pages, or heavy pen annotations.

Non-English titles (we are strictly an English-language space!).

The Fine Print for Store Credit

Redemption: Store credit can only be used toward the purchase of secondhand books. It cannot be applied to coffee, pastries, or brand-new book merchandise.

Expirations: Your credit is tied to your account (or a stamped physical slip) and is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Final Say: Sam and Lisa always have the final word on book selection and pricing based on current shop inventory levels.
