We are a dedicated English-language secondhand bookstore focusing on fiction and select non-fiction. On our shelves, you will find a beautifully curated selection of contemporary fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, horror, thrillers, young adult, children's and timeless classics.

Because we hand-pick our inventory, we do not put heavily damaged books on our shelves. We classify every book into three transparent tiers so you always know what you are getting:

• As new - Clean and crisp, but missing the absolute pristine "sparkle" of a copy straight off the printing press. It may have been handled, and moved a few times, but the spine remains un-cracked. On occasion, we may receive a perfect copy, which is still in mint condition.
• Gently used - A well maintained book that has been read once or twice with care. It remains tight and intact with no loose pages, but it will show subtle natural signs of handling, such as faint thin creases along the spine or some minor curvature. 
• Well read - A book with plenty of character that has clearly been loved by previous readers. Expect visible spine creasing, softly worn edges, or slight page yellowing typical of vintage or mass-market paperbacks. The text is always fully intact, completely legible, and ready for many more trips to the armchair.

Constantly! Because our inventory relies on community trade-ins and active sourcing across Europe, new treasures hit our physical and online shelves every single week. Make sure to pop in often - you never know what forgotten gem you might find on any given day.

Yes, but with a community twist! To keep our shop sustainable, we do not buy books for cash on the spot. Instead, we offer a Trade-In Program where you can bring your pre-loved English books to us in exchange for store credit, which you can use toward any secondhand book in the shop. Please note that we only accept English books in clean, readable condition.

We are proudly based in Almere, Netherlands, where we operate both our community-focused online store and hope to open a stall at the Almere markets in the near future. For our online shoppers, we ship across the Netherlands.

• In-Store Purchases: To support our circular economy, all physical, in-store sales of secondhand books are final. If you discover a hidden defect (like missing pages), bring it back within 14 days and we will gladly make it right.
• Online Purchases: Online orders come with a legal 14-day cooling-off period. Items must be shipped back to us in their original condition at the buyer's expense before a refund is issued.
